Entertainment CalendarAt Offshore Ale Co., we approach our live entertainment the same way we do our great food & service and freshly brewed ale ... we try to exceed expectations. We keep our schedule eclectic, a little something for everybody, Irish folk one night and Blues the next, Texas swing to Reggae to everything in between. We want folks who are visiting from off-island to come here and enjoy the local talent. At the same time we love to treat the locals to something new from the mainland.
This summer you can count on some regular favorites:SUNDAYS 2 - 4 pm: WEDNESDAYS 7:30ish - FRIDAYS and SATURDAYS: Local Heroes - Mike Benjamin, Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish, Judd Fuller and the Refills, Blue Strangers, Kahoots Mike Benjamin - Mike is a superhuman songwriter, a monster guitar player and a world class singer, whether he's playing originals or covers, he is easily one of the most talented guys on the island. www.mikebenjaminmusic.com Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish Johnny Hoy's distinctive sound can be described as rocking harmonica-based blues with a strong dose of roots-based Americana built on a foundation of country, rock and Cajun two-steps! www.johhnyhoyandthebluefish.com Judd Fuller and the Refills Good old fashion bluegrass, this band is full of ringers! Judd is a founding member of Entrain, toured with the Peter Wolf Band and is currently touring with Rodney Atkins. On top of all that, the guy can catch a striper off a kayak! www.juddfuller.com Blue Strangers The Strangers play Texas Swing - Suzy belts out the vocals and the band rips along like an old pick-up speeding down the highway getting chased by a cop. Kahoots Kahoots write brilliant, catchy pop songs with thoughtful lyrics, more hooks than a pirate ship and all the trappings of a good old-fashioned inside rock guitar band Squash Meadow Country and bluegrass dished out by an all-star line up of island pros! |
